MediLink policies and procedures incorporate Corporate Social Responsibility, Equality and Equal Opportunities and a full range of procedures covering our business and operational activities, as part of our ISO9001 accredited Quality Management Systems.
Our business procedures also cover our recruitment, client and candidate services, based around complying with legislative and regulatory requirements and demonstrating best practice and excellence in customer service throughout our business and operations.
Our policies are updated in accordance with best practice guidelines issued from time to time by the Recruitment Employment Confederation of which we are a corporate member. For example, last year we responded rapidly to notifications from REC of the required changes in respect of the Agency Worker Regulations and were able to amend our terms and conditions, procedures, and records, while also training our staff and briefing our candidates on the changes and implications.
MediLink is also registered with NHS employers who regularly provide updates on changes and amendments in any relevant legislation and regulations. We receive detailed guidance on NHS organisations’ statutory duties particularly in relation to equality and diversity monitoring, data collection, and the wider equality objectives, so we are able to make sure all our staff and candidates are aware of the requirements. To assist our NHS clients, we are also able to provide whatever level of detailed information they need for their equality and diversity data collection and monitoring requirements in respect of locums we provide to them.
We make sure that our candidates are aware of the obligations under which NHS organisations are working and as part of their induction training before starting an assignment, we go through policies and procedures issued by the hospital or the Trust as appropriate. We are happy to enhance and adapt our procedures further to meet any changes implemented by our NHS clients in respect of new legislation or operating requirements.
